Mr. Akbar Mohamadi

To the name of democracy:
We have received news from Evin prison, about Mr. Akbar Mohamadi, a
Political prisoner and the second person was charged following the police
Riot in the University of Tehran.
He had been on hunger strike for 9 days. A few times because of hunger
Strike he had been taken to Evin prison hospital. His life was in danger
Because his last hunger strike has been a dry hunger strike. He had a heart
Attack and died.

The authorities and the personnel of the jail could have prevented his
Death and save his life but unfortunately they did not.
Mr. Akbar Mohamadi had been arrested because of the publication in America
Of his book about his arrest and the situation of other political prisoners
In Evin prison on 18 Teer 78 year. In this book he revealed evidence about
The human rights violations of Iranian regime, the Intelligence Service of
Secret Islamic police, the justice system and the torturing of political
Prisoners.
We should mention this. Before his hunger strike, the Iranian authorities
Allowed his family to visit Mr. Akbar in hospital. He said to his family
That he was not feeling well because Iranian regime was torturing him and
That Evin prison is not suitable for a human being.
Human rights defenders in Iran will scream out their hatred and struggle
Against the Iranian regime and human rights violations in Iran.
They are demanding that the Iranian regime be condemned by international
Law.
A copy of this statement has been delivered to the UNO and other human
Rights organizations.
